A regional perspective on mental wellbeing

Last week, two development staff from Youth Focus: North East attended Public Health England’s North East Wellbeing and Mental Health Engagement event to talk about our mental health programmes.

The event, which took place in County Durham, brought together a range of partners to share knowledge and intelligence about wellbeing and mental health across the North East, and promoted collaborative working across the new Public Health System.

Phoebe and Jo, who are involved in our Change UR Mind and Transitions Advocacy Project (TAP), hosted a stall to promote our mental health work and talked to a number of health professionals and public health workers throughout the day. The pair also gave a brief talk about Change UR Mind and the national Young Minds Vs campaign.

Feedback from other delegates was extremely positive and the event provided a valuable opportunity to network with other organisations in the region.
