Working in partnership with Safe in Tees Valley, Time 4 You and Durham Tees Valley Community Rehabilitation Company (DTV CRC) will train and support DTV CRC participants to become peer supporters to their peers.
We will recruit CRC participants who have personal experience of mental health problems, who will lead and participate as Peer Supporters. We will build the knowledge, skills and qualities needed to empower DTV CRC peer mentors to co-produce, lead, run and manage the project.
Then the trained Peer Supporters will co-produce a workshop/training session to raise awareness about common mental health problems, facilitate the sharing of personal experience of mental health problems and promote self-management of mental health to their peers.
Finally, the Peer Supporters will co-produce wellbeing social action projects and challenge days to promote positive mental health in local communities across the Tees Valley.
If you would like to get involved in the project or would like some more information, please contact Laura Bush on 07763826674 or [email protected].
