Wellbeing Challenge Day at Richardson Dees Park

Youth Focus: North East worked with an intergenerational group made up of volunteers from Wallsend Boys and Girls Club and Age UK North Tyneside to hold an Easter family fun day at Richardson Dees Park on Wednesday 30 March.

Thousands of families from around Tyne and Wear enjoyed the activities the group had organised as part of their Wellbeing Challenge Day, including an Easter egg hunt around the park, a fitness walk, face painting, nail art, arts and crafts, penalty shootouts, and a bouncy castle. Elected Mayor of North Tyneside Norma Redfearn was also on hand to say a few words and to open the fitness walk.

Youth Focus: North East’s Wellbeing Challenge Days work with groups of younger people and groups of older people who plan and deliver an event that matches one or more of the five-a-day for wellbeing; Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Learn, Give.
