A small team of Talent Match Leaders visited Newcastle University’s research and development space, OpenLab, on Thursday to continue their pilot of a user-led evaluation app.
Andy Dow, the researcher co-designing the evaluation tool with Talent Match Leaders, has been supporting them to use the app’s different functions to capture data from the recent employer engagement event in Durham and make sense of it for reporting.
The app encourages young people to capture content from sessions and events and give feedback to the organisations and professionals presenting from their perspective.
Thursday’s session was also supported by Emma Ward, Evaluation Officer for Talent Match North East. The group will now work with Andy and Emma to turn their evaluation into a report which can be shared with a range of different stakeholders. The app will continue to be refined based on the group’s feedback.
Talent Match is a Big Lottery Fund initiative which aims to support young people furthest from the labour market to access employment. The North East partnership is managed by Wise Group.
