On Wednesday 29 May, young people from both the My Mind Matters and Change UR Mind projects went down to Darlington to present at the ‘My CAMHS Experience’ conference.
The event brought together professionals from the health and social care sector across the Tees, Esk and Wear Valley (TEWV).
Young people presented about their projects and received excellent feedback from all the attendees, with many wanting to connect with the projects in the future and asking about how more young people can get involved.
Young people from My Mind Matters and Change UR Mind were really vocal during the question time with the managers asking well thoughout and challenging questions which brought up some really interesting discussion.
Young people from the projects will be meeting with the Head of CAMHS in TEWV to start to plan how they can be more meaningfully involved in the development of services for them and their peers.
