Three young people involved in our Change UR Mind programme travelled down to London earlier this week to attend the launch of YoungMinds’ new campaign YoungMinds Vs.
YoungMinds Vs is led by young people, with the support of YoungMinds, and will fight for improvements in the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.
Change UR Mind board member Jack helped to compere the event, which was attended by the opposition leader Ed Miliband and pop star Frankie Sandford from The Saturdays, who helped to launch the new campaign.
Findings from a recent poll were also showcased on the day. YoungMinds has found that half of children and young people have been bullied and four out of ten 11-14 year olds skip meals to stay thin. For more information about YoungMinds VS visit the website.
