As part of our Wellbeing Challenge programme, young people at Cramlington Voluntary Youth Project took part in a film project around their summer fayre.
Along with volunteering on the stalls at CVYP’s summer fayre, the group gained video production skills and helped Youth Focus: North East staff to film a positive video covering the event. Video production equipment was bought in for the young people to hone and develop their skills in the future.
The video highlights why the young people at CVYP like to volunteer, examines the importance of youth voice and volunteering, and illustrates the types of activities CVYP offers, as well as the personalities of the staff and young people at the heart of the project. On Thursday 15 September all of the young people attending the evening session at CVYP watched the film back and thoroughly enjoyed the finished result.
This round of Wellbeing Challenges was funded by the Wellesley Trust and delivered by Youth Focus: North East.
