On 9 July, Youth Focus: North East held a seminar at Gateshead Library for partners across the region to explore the opportunities through European Union funding and de-bunking some of the myths around it as well as supporting colleagues to think through some different approaches to access Erasmus+ funding.
The seminar looked at the main requirements of two key actions from the Erasmus+ programme: key action 1, which supports the learning mobility of individuals and key action 2, which supports cooperation on innovation and the exchange of good practices. Nick Gunner, a freelance consultant who specialises in European funding with experience of developing and implementing international youth engagement strategies, also attended the seminar and fielded questions from attendees.
The regional seminar was well-received, providing an opportunity for colleagues to network and explore opportunities to develop partnership bids for European funding.
