My Future Matters
Designed to improve the skills and attitudes of young people towards employment.
My Future Matters is funding by Virgin Money Foundation North East Fund. The aim of the project is to support young people in deprived areas of Tees Valley to gain sustainable employment. The project is for young people aged 18 to 25 years living in Tees Valley who are motivated and keen to work but may need additional support to move forward.
We offer personalised one to one support and small group work with;
- Job applications
- Cover letters
- Job search
- Interview skills
- Money management
- Universal credit
We also have funding to support and pay for young people to access specialist training to enable them to become work ready for different sectors, this can include; specialist driving training, interview clothes, DBS checks etc.
Our aim is to find employment for young people through a person centred approach and individual learning plans that are driven by the participant. We believe by looking at all aspects of the individual’s life, and overcoming all barriers, we will better enable young people to make long term, sustainable careers progression.
Once the young person has gained employment, we will support the young person and the employer for up to a further 6 months.
