The team in Tees Valley has recently ran and completed our Reducing the Skills Gap programme in North Ormesby with six young people.
The course included an interview with Lakwinder from Pitman Training who highlighted their learning and passion when they shared their future aspirations with him. As a result of this two of the participants are intending to move into training programmes with Pitman Training.
We have another Reducing the Skills Gap cohort coming up in North Ormesby. It starts on Wednesday 1 March and runs across five days.
Reducing the Skills Gap (RTSG) is a soft skills personal development training programme designed to improve skills and attitudes for employment. RTSG addresses six key skills: communication, commitment, professionalism, time management, teamwork, and confidence.
Learners will participate in fun and creative activities which were created by young people. Throughout the training programme, we also ask participants to complete impact assessments to log their personal development.
