Youth Focus: North East is offering a fantastic opportunity to grab a free place in Reducing the Skills Gap (RTSG), our creative employability course, funded by the Community Foundation serving Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. RTSG has been co-created by young people who have faced issues to employment and young people also co-deliver it.
The course is aimed at 17-24 year-olds who are not currently in education, employment, or training, who live in the Newcastle area and is taking place at our Gateshead Office:
Suite 6, New Century House, West Street, Gateshead, NE8 1HR
RTSG uses a variety of fun and interactive activities created by young people across six sessions looking at communication, professionalism, life skills, time management, teamwork, and confidence – all things identified as important by local employers we spoke with.
Throughout the course, you will be asked to keep a diary of your experiences and development, allowing you to gain evidence to achieve digital badges endorsed by City & Guilds.
The course will be run from 10am – 4pm on the following days:
Tuesday 13 September, Wednesday 14 September, Friday 16 September,
Wednesday 21 September, Thursday 22 September, Friday 23 September
Wednesday 28 September, Thursday 29 September, Friday 30 September
