Is there a special woman in your life that has gone the extra mile to support you and care for you? This might not be your mum, but it could be. It might be another family member, a neighbour, a foster carer or support worker. We know that Mother’s Day can be a difficult time for lots of reasons which is why we wanted to do an alternative event to include the special women in young people’s lives and to show our appreciation.
Tea for Two is part of the Big Days Project run by Youth Focus: North East and the Co-op Foundation which aims to help reduce social isolation and feelings by bringing people together. This project works with young people to develop their ideas and plan events on key days throughout the year.
The tea will take place at Chefs Academy, Newcastle College on Thursday 22nd March, 5.30 – 7.30 pm. Spaces are limited to 25 young people plus a guest. The event is FREE of charge. All you have to do is complete the booking form, and return to Caroline Garrity ASAP. Deadline is Friday 9th March 2018, places are allocated on a first come first served basis.
We are planning lots of events throughout the year and there will be more opportunities to take part in our project. If you would like to know more details about the Big Days Project, please contact Sarah Warren, email: [email protected].
